A FACEBOOK post from Santa reassuring kids Christmas isn’t cancelled due to coronavirus is going viral as parents show it to their kids.

But the elves have a message from Father Christmas himself, which they shared on Facebook captioned: "Important notice!"
Santa penned a lengthy post, confirming December 25 was still going ahead as normal.
He wrote: “It has come to my attention that children around the world are being told by their older siblings, parents, others adults, and even friends, that Christmas is not coming this year due to the covid pandemic.

“No one here at the North Pole has been infected.
“All the toys and other presents will be totally disinfected before and after they are wrapped and put into my sleigh for delivery to your home, or to wherever you will be this year.
“Do not worry my friends, I will not be spreading the virus nor will I be getting sick from anyone that has it.

The post, on Elf on the Shelf Ideas, has racked up hundreds of likes and comments as parents praised Santa’s hard work.
One mum wrote: “Well done Santa. Keep up the good work.”
Another said: “My daughter has just asked if Santa can get covid I'm so glad I saw this earlier I've just read it out to her she one happy little girl now.”
A third commented: “This is a nice note the elves can bring!”
This parent thought: “My 6 year old keeps asking if santa is still coming and the answer is definitely a big YES.”
While this mum added: “See Christmas is still happening lol.”
